The Employment Tax Incentive (ETI) is a programme that is sponsored by National Treasury and administered by SARS. Promulgated in October 2013, ETI forms part of government's package of programmes for youth employment and enables youth employability by giving them the opportunity to acquire the requisite skills to be employed. The ETI Programme was recently extended until 2029.
How it works
We will allocate around 80% of your current PAYE to fund the ETI Programme. Youth will be recruited on your company's behalf and a fixed Rebate of R1,500.00 may be retained from PAYE for these youth.
Requirements for qualification
- Company must be tax compliant to be eligible.
- Youth applicants must be between the ages of 18 & 29.
- Applicants may not be in the company's employ prior to 2013.
